Domcon NOLA 2022 Review Part 2

B.J. Frazier Publications proudly welcomes the addition of a new author to its family; Jessie Spectre!

Meet Jessie:

Jessie Spectre loves writing all kinds of stories, true and fictional.  As a kid growing up near Birmingham, Jessie developed a thick skin and an open mind.  After years of writing all kinds of stories, Jessie has entered the world of erotic fiction because it offers unique ways to explore the human condition and examine ourselves at our deepest, truest level.

Jessie feels honored and humbled to work with the talented author B.J. Frazier to create a series of stories about Eli, a young man coming to understand his own sexuality, desires and identity in a complicated world.

About six months ago, Jessie messaged me and asked if I’d be interested in doing a collaboration.  I asked what he had in mind, and then listened to him outline several ideas at length.

The first of which was the story of Eli.  And we immediately brainstormed, wrote, edited, discussed, honed, and discussed some more.

Let me confess that between Jessie asking about a collab and me listening to his pitch was a whole host of skeptism on my part.  A collab?  How is THAT gonna work?  That CAN’T POSSIBLY work!

I didn’t even want to listen to his ideas because I couldn’t conceptualize the process… not to mention that it sounded like a dreadful idea.

But after I heard the background for Eli, I was intrigued.

And when Jessie mentioned the idea of incorporating a sex scene around an inflatable barnyard animal, I was hooked!

Seriously, though–well, hang on.  I seriously loved the sheep sex doll.  But that’s not what swayed me.

What swayed me was Jessie’s well-thought-out storyline and our ability to bounce ideas off one another, and seamlessly discard one, run with another, come back around to square one… all in a flurry of excitement and creativity.  We just clicked.

And that fire has remained constant throughout the process… such that I’m happy to report that we just completed the draft for book three, and have books four and five mapped out.

I know I’ve babbled to many of you these past few months about how amazingly awesome this collaboration has been, and I know it sounds sickly sweet.  Like, if one of you had told me this story, I think I’d have a smidge of skepticism about just how awesome it actually was.

And I know people gloss things over to make things better than they seem.  But I am telling you straight–and you know I’d do nothing less–I am profoundly proud of this collaboration, and I cannot wait to get Book One into your hands.

Thomas Antonson, my editor for years, has held onto that smidge of skepticism… all the way up through the end of Book One.  He called me after reading it and said, “I was poised to rip it to shreds, but I barely touched a thing.”

He added, “Readers are going to love it, and they’ll be hard-pressed to separate yours and Jessie’s writings.”  Thomas said our writing styles complement each other such that we’ve created a seamless piece of a *hot* erotica.

“I can’t wait to read Book Two,” he concluded.

Throughout the past several months, Thomas has repeatedly told me, “I can’t believe how lucky you’ve been with this collaboration because it could’ve gone horribly wrong very quickly.”

I do feel lucky.  Jessie, welcome aboard.  Even though I’m a writer, I can’t fully convey how honored I am to be on this journey with you.  I look forward to finishing this series and moving on to your other ideas!

What’s “Eli” about, you ask?  Well, I have to tell you that as big of a build-up as that all was, “Eli – 1. The Seduction” isn’t for everyone.

Eli Shaw is from a conservative and religious small town and goes to college thinking he’s straight.

A mishap with a tuxedo rental lands him in debt with Bernie Higgins, a middle-aged, gay businessman.

The two form a bond where Bernie introduces Eli to the wonderful world of homosexuality, and Eli is an avid learner.

Follow their path as they explore friendship, entrepreneurial opportunities, prejudice, hatred, love, revenge, and transformations… plus off-the-chart sexual encounters with an assortment of characters.

Add in a colorful and mature Domme with a hard exterior and a heart of gold, and “Eli” will give you warm fuzzies and warm your cockles.

Look for it later this week!

A New Dose of Bots

A new crop of bots popped up in bdsmlr recently.  They have common-sounding names with numbers after, like JaneSmith2589.  There is an (intentional?) omission of “mistress” or “dominatrix”.

Their homepage contains contact information… for you to contact them off-site.  However, that site triggers warnings from firewall protection programs.  Meaning, DO NOT CLICK their “contact me here” links!

It’s a good reminder that when trolling kinky smedia sites, you should not communicate with anyone off-site until trust has been established.  The goal is to get you off-site as quickly as possible so your communication cannot be monitored.  When it’s on-site, admins can track suspicious activity and take action.

By that, I’m speaking specifically of bdsmlr.  It’s run by people who care.  However, they cannot police every blog and every interaction.  They depend on you/us to report this type of behavior.

So please, do not simply block and/or ignore DMs.  Take time to report the blog, and tell the admins you suspect bot-like behavior.  They will investigate it, and they will ban the blogs.

Doing this helps keep the bdsmlr community safe.  These scams prey upon the kinky desires of people who seek submission.  Unfortunately, I know of too many times where it’s ended in blackmail for thousands of dollars.

That’s why I created a PSA of sorts.  It’s a Safe For Work link–to that particular post, but be careful scrolling–that outlines how the scam works.

With holidays on the horizon, I’ll get that post back in the rotation.

The messages from what appear to be dommes seeking subs can be very alluring but I urge you to be smarter than normal.

And remember, dommes don’t need to solicit subs.

Stop Teasing and Tell Me About Domcon, Dammit!

*grin*

Thank you to everyone who communicated that specific something special you took away from the first review.  In fact, I’m going to share some comments with you.

Perhaps you felt the same thing but were too shy to tell me.  Or maybe someone else’s comment will spark something else you’d like to share.

My goal is to create a safe space to share.  The interactions from my convention review posts remind me of the Creative Surveys I do in bdsmlr.  The latest one can be found at this Not Safe For Work link.

New ones come out every Tuesday and Friday, along with results posts for the previous one.  Here is the results post at this Not Safe for Work link.

As you can see, the responses or “votes” are very detailed, and we learn about each other without judgment as people reflect on their sexual boundaries… or expand them.  The Creative Surveys are open to anyone 18 and older, and we always love new voters.  You can find them on my NSFW bdsmlr blog by searching for #BJF Creative Survey or just #Survey.

Here are some of the comments from the first review post:

veryshy69fan ~ Love the write up on DomCon, thank you  🙂  Agree with you on the politics of everything and the need to protect rights.

sizeerrorprojection ~ Portable dungeon!  Now that’s imaginative.  Beautiful Fleur de Lis!  Perfect for New Orleans.  Learning knots, B.J., I don’t think you’ll regret that in the least.

toymax ~ Thanks for Your blog post about the Domcon.  Now I know why You had great fun.  What a great treat for You (the corner of the two roads) !  Your booth looked amazing !  It all sounds so seductive – so unreal for me, although I know this all IS real.  I look forward to Your next posting.  Thank You, Miss B.J.  And thanks for naming Your green boys.

LeftField ~ After reading your blog today, I understand why you thought I might have attended DomCon.  I did not realize there was going to be a crossdressing contest.  [LeftField also sent me pictures of the political signs in his yard as proof of doing his part–speaking of–I hope you all got out and voted!]

cb-6000-lover ~ Terrific write up about NOLA!  I need to check out all the links you inserted.  Glad you will supplement this post with even more detail, I’ll keep my eyes open.  A question and a comment:  You reference LA.  When, and what event will be there?  And “Mrs Claus” is stunningly sexy!  Not how I picture that character at all — I see her as old, chubby, rosy cheeks, and a twinkle in her eye.  [Domcon L.A. is May 17-22. …and I told you I twisted the hallmark tropes *grin*]

servicepet ~ I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent together.  Except for those moments when we walked too close to the large, man-eating snakes on Bourbon Street.  [omg, I think I wiped that memory from my mind.  There’s no hidden message here; there were actually people walking with GIGANTIC, live snakes around their necks!]

sweetgirljulia ~ What a lovely review and summary of DomCon!  i really enjoyed reading it!  🙂

rubbug ~ I just finished reading your blog, Miss, love the way you write.  And it’s awesome that you include links as well, all worth looking into.  When I got to your photo of the booth, my eyes were drawn to that dildo in the background and sure enough within the next few sentences you addressed it lol.  And I am eagerly awaiting that interview with Mistress Mia, she’s quite ravishing  [We have it scheduled!]

subservice72 ~ Thank You for posting on Your webpage the experience at DomCon and other activities.  I didn’t realize You are a Spartans fan.  One more thing in common.

Lets-see-now ~ I did read your post regarding the Domcon.  It seems different from what I’d expected.   I have to admit that my idea of the event may have been just fantasy.  I imagine it more like a huge, wild orgy, with lots of Dommes and subs running around doing what they want to feel fine.  [There is definitely some of that going on, especially in the play parties.  I want to point out the approachable elements so people won’t feel intimidated, because, while kink is present, we’re all just people.]

Thank you for the comments.  I enjoy interacting with you in smedia, and I look forward to more!

These Boots Are Made For More Than Walkin’ – Foot and Related Fetishes

Multiperv taught three classes, and I made it to the foot one, accompanied by Downlow.  I’m happy to report that our very own “resident perv” presented well, had visual aids and provided useful information.

He shared personal stories to make the class relatable.  For instance, Multiperv was a house sub for three professional dommes.  And he traces his foot fetish all the way back to childhood, where his mother never let him go out without shoes.

But the neighbor girl didn’t have the same restrictive parents.  Multiperv witnessed her bare feet in the grass, and he connected her naked feet with a delicious element of naughtiness.  And he’s been hooked ever since.

In fact, he retold his best birthday ever… A mistress put her bare feet in a sheet cake and allowed Multiperv to lick it off.  To have toes to suck on, says Multiperv, is euphoric and akin to placing that proverbial peg in the hole.

As for the content portion of the class, there was much of it!  Always careful of opposing perspectives, Multiperv acknowledged that feet aren’t for everyone, and he turned the negative into a positive, pointing out that a foot fetish equals a new set of sex organs to play with!

To further convince the skeptical, he listed the positives to feet, including; they’re easy to play with, without the need for heavy devices.  You won’t get caught at TSA.  And, you can engage in a kinky tease in public.

There can be many aspects to foot fetishists, too.  Some people prefer the toes or soles or arch.  Some people prefer to worship clean and dry feet while others love them sweaty and dirty.  The kink may extend to boots and/or stockings.  A few people also enjoy cast play; where their partner wears a cast.

Some even know the origin of their foot/toe ratio.  Multiperv’s is Greek.  What’s yours?

I also learned that the feet stimulators are close to the sexual ones in the brain, that Elvis had a foot fetish, and that feet have many small bones in them.

Multiperv is all about safety and considering other people’s feelings.  Therefore, it’s fitting to end “this class” with a warning.  Be sure not to hit your partner’s feet too hard (with a cane, flogger, paddle, etc.) because the small bones are easily injured.

Play safe, explore a new erogenous zone… and do it in public!

Interviews

B.J. from Tawan Leather Company

B.J. is tall, well-built and commands attention… and he’s quick to smile.  A pansexual, B.J. recognized his kink when he was 14.  He was aroused watching porn on VHS that contained D/s and beating.

At 18, he was introduced into the gay leather community.  Shortly thereafter, he was mentored by an older gay couple who had been into leather since the ‘60s.

He’s been a leatherman since his early 20s.  He served for one year with an owner (but no collar) and two years of apprenticeship.  B.J. defines leatherman as living your life with honor and integrity, being a teacher and performing community service.

A tongue-in-cheek (or is that tongue-around-cock) bit of a segue is to tell you about a brag-fest between B.J. and Christopher.  B.J. made the bold statement that, disregarding gender, he has sucked more dick than anyone.  To which, Christopher quickly asked, “Are you talking quantity or miles?”

After Christopher tossed out his lofty range, B.J. admitted Christopher has him beat.  Then immediately “topped him” by declaring himself to be the biggest ho with 1,508 sexual acts–said proudly with a huge grin.  When Christopher asked for clarification on “sexual acts”, B.J. said, “I’m talkin’ full-on, penetrative sex.”

I’ve not done my research, but I’m happy to crown B.J. as Biggest Ho.

B.J. has been in a vanilla marriage for 22 years with his wife (who has a boyfriend).  His wife is aware of his status and is friends with B.J.’s slaves.  B.J. is proud of his lifestyle and goes to grocery stores with his slaves.

Even though his favorite toys are his hand and mind, he also enjoys implement toys.  B.J.’s been making leather toys for over 15 years.  They’re one of a kind, and he encourages you to give him a call.  Visit him on Facebook.

B.J. ~ A joy to talk with the man behind the gregarious aura.  I look forward to seeing you again in L.A.!

Diana and Gary from Dungeon in a Bag

Also crafting quality BDSM equipment for over 15 years are Gary and Diana from Dungeon in a Bag.  Their awesome product was created out of necessity.

They were both married to other people and lived in different cities when they first met online.  Consequently, their play time centered on discreet travel.

Thanks to their kinky indiscretions, Dungeon in a Bag was created, and you can benefit!  You and I both, actually.  Tell them B.J. Frazier sent you, and we’ll both benefit from your purchase.

Then you get to incorporate the beautiful piece of furniture into your scenes… and I get to continue my friendship with Diana and Gary.

Seriously.  To be in between Christopher on one side and Gary and Diana on the other was heavenly.  And I hope to duplicate it in L.A.  We cross-sold each other’s booths.

Christopher would approach people looking at “14-Day Lockdown” and tell them, “This is the authoress, and that book is fabulous!  I read it in one night!”  Diana would call, “B.J., this person loves erotica,” and sent them to me.

And vice-versa and over, around and through.  🙂  You should come witness it live in L.A.

Diana and Gary have a kinky love story, and you can’t help but smile listening to it because there is a glow about them as they tell it.  They’re welcoming, ingratiating and kinky!  Diana wore a corset and collar during most of the vending hours, and actively engaged with and spoke to visitors.

While Gary is dominant and has subs, he is quiet and kind.  With an extensive background in most things naughty, Gary doesn’t need to flaunt or prove himself.  The telling glint in his eye is proof enough.

So the “Dungeon” began as a St. Andrew’s Cross and evolved as their relationship grew.  It is now a three-in-one combo that is easily repositioned into a spanking bench and bondage table.  I told you to watch their video… did you obey?  If not, do so today.  It’s less than 10 minutes, and it will awe you.

There are also handmade stocks that fit onto the end of the table in either direction.  Why?  So the sub can be either bent over the table or on his knees.  The delicious kick?  The stocks are made out of church pews!  You’ll definitely want to be christened.

New this year are stirrups that you can add.

The unit comes in a golf bag and includes everything you need to set up.  Despite the intimidating furniture and all the devilish fun it sparks, Dungeon in a Bag stems from a loving relationship and should be used with someone you trust.  I hope you use yours in a loving and trusting dynamic.

Diana and Gary ~ You make me smile.  It’s nice to make friends as adults, and kinky ones at that!  I look forward to L.A.

In Closing

If you didn’t comment last time, reach out to me now.  If you did comment before, comment again.  Not only do I love to hear from you but I’m a feedback whore!  *grin*

Still to come are more classes, interviews, and the play party room.

Until then, snuggle up with a B.J. Frazier book.
