Checklists are Live

As Promised, BDSM Checklists are Live!

Newsletter subscribers received notification and had exclusive access to my BDSM Checklists for a week.  More great exclusives are coming only to subscribers, so make sure you’re on the list and in the know.  Click the bottom of any page to subscribe.

Please note there is a lot of text on the Checklists page.  It’s necessary that you read it and research on your own before utilizing the Checklists.

Put another way:  The Checklists were created for people who are ready to get serious about adding kink into their play and/or want to review other kink activities.

I created two for you.  One groups kink by theme, and the other is an alphabetized listing.

Resources such as these should be readily accessible to anyone interested in kink, which is why I’ve made them free to download.

That said, I put a lot of time and effort into creating it for our community.  Thank me by buying me a drink.

Many thanks to those of you who have already shown your support.  I greatly appreciate you!

If you’re not signed up for my newsletter, do it now.   There’s a sign-up link at the bottom of every web page.

If you missed the last blog post, check it out here.

LeftField ~ I read your blog post on colonoscopies, and I thought I’d pass along my experience. I have a family history of colon polyps and colon cancer on both my mother and father’s sides. I had my first colonoscopy at the age of 53 and have had four more in the 12 years since then. (To be honest, I probably should have had my first one at 45.)

For me, the prep is more of a nuisance than anything else. Towards the end, you get really tired of drinking so much liquid and having to go to the bathroom so often. Then again, I’ve done it 5 times now. The actual procedure is totally painless.

Another advantage of a colonoscopy over Cologuard is that if your doctor sees a polyp, they will want to remove it and take a biopsy to see if it is cancerous or benign. (Or if you have multiple polyps, multiple samples.) They will also want to leave a tattoo on the inside of your colon if they removed a large polyp. That way, they can check the next time to see if it’s come back. Fortunately, all of my polyps have been benign.

Current screening guidelines are to have your first colonoscopy at 45 and every 10 years thereafter. (It used to be 50 for your first one.) Obviously, if they find a polyp, the frequency decreases. I *highly* recommend that people don’t put this off. If caught early, colon cancer can be treated with survival rates greater than 90%. DON’T PUT THIS OFF!  [Thanks so much for the insight, LeftField, and I’m glad to hear you’re in good health!]

L.K. Lynch (and a *crap-ton* more of you) ~ Did everything come out okay?  [As eye-rolling as those statements were to read, they also made me smile because of the interaction.  Thank you… and, uh… yeah, everything came out just fine]

toymax ~ I‘m very excited about the announced ‚cool thing‘  🙂  Thank You very much for bringing up the rear-view.  You reminded me of something very important.  Congratulations on Sally Bend‘s 5 star review – You deserve it so much.  [One of the cool things is in this blog post!  You’re welcome, and thank you, toymax!]

Thank you for your support.  The drinks and Wish List items always touch my heart.  Last week, cloudybriefs told me my drink names were cute.  It made me think that not everyone may know the history of the drink selections.

When my IT peeps created the website, they got creative with the drink choices because I didn’t provide them with anything.  So they chose things that sounded sexy.  They were.  But it wasn’t until someone asked me whether I actually drink them that I realized they didn’t represent my taste in drinks.

Rest assured, the drink selections now are ones I actually drink–and have on-hand.  Someone bought me one when I was visiting a relative, and I purchased some to share, and toasted the giver to my family!

I’m always surprised–and happy–to receive an unexpected package on my porch containing a goody from my Wish List.  In the past, people have told me when it’s delivered, because they received notification, and I wouldn’t have known who it was from otherwise.

Not so anymore!  A recent giver sent me a gift card note, which told me who it was from.  So please make sure you fill that out when you send me something.  It’s always great to get a goody; it’s even better to know who it’s from!

Also, I updated the Wish List because some of you said items were no longer available.  Might be a U.S. thing… but I also added some GREEN things just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! 🙂

I had a pleasure of reading Mike Bowerbank’s “The Suspect”, which is the final book in the YA trilogy.  You know I love his work, even though it’s not erotica. *grin*

This book closed the series… but, in true Bowerbank style, leaves the door open for a new book and/or series involving some of the same characters.  I can’t wait!

I am super excited to unveil a new feature to my website:  A Live Book Club!  It’s not just any book club.  It’ll be interactive and online in a chat, hosted right here on my site.

What makes it different?  A few things.  First, you get to ask questions directly to the author–me!  With the possibility of future chats involving my other authors, like Sean O’Toole, L.K. Lynch, and Jessie Spectre.

Second, you can ask questions directly to the characters, and I will respond as they would.  It’s your choice!

Third, you get to interact in a safe place and share your insights and kink with other kinksters.

Fourth, you get to vote on the books to discuss.  I have created the first ever Book Club Poll.  I started small, with a few of my short stories.  But you can also write in a title–though I think that may get a bit complicated.  We’ll figure it out as we get comfy with it.

How Will It Work?

I’m in the process of creating the page, and will be doing a test chat with some of you.  When it’s ready (hopefully really soon), I will announce a date and time.  With members of our community being from all over the world, I will choose different times of day in the future.

Until then, send me a note in one of the following places and tell me you want to participate:

bdsmlr ~ Not Safe for Work
Tumblr ~ Questionably Safe for Work
Twitter ~ Safe for Work
TwitterNSFW ~ Not Safe for Work
FetLife ~ Safe for Work
Right Here ~ Safe for Work

People will be emailed a password to enter the chat.  So make sure you create an account and sign up for my newsletter.  You can sign up at the bottom of any page of my website.

Don’t forget to vote on which book we’ll read first!

I’m so excited to chat with you live and hear your thoughts. Tell me how excited you are, too!
