Happy Spring!

Good-bye Stripe; Hello Square!

I have used Stripe since the beginning of my website. It is the shopping cart processor mechanism. They were great until I tried to use their card reader.

I started back in September before going to DomCon NOLA, because I thought it would make check out easier in the booth instead of having people get on my site, make an account, etc.

However, the card reader Stripe has is hardware only. Meaning, they don’t have anything to do with the software, let alone support it. And the only way to have it connect to my website is with archaic code that is known to be easily hackable.

My web host server said in order to set it up, he’d have to turn on that block for all of his customers, then manually remove permission to everyone but me. I said no way… not only for the time involved but because *I* don’t want to be hacked!

As I look to DomCon LA (in May!), I figured I’d just get a Square and keep Stripe. But then Stripe announced a price hike in international sales. And they said even if you’re successful on a dispute, they’ll still charge you $15. I don’t have any disputes but I disagree with the business model.

So, I switched to Square, which is better, faster, cheaper, *and* the hardware was free, and everything is already set up!

Rest assured, your credit card statements will still say “BJFP, LLC”. I even changed the invoicing you receive from my site to be “BJFP, LLC” as well. Your purchases remain discreet… so get to reading!

You guys are so funny… several of you sent me your filled-out BDSM checklists! It was interesting to get to know more about you, but the main purpose of them is to initiate conversation with your partner.

Here are some comments from the last blog post:

submissiveforDomme ~ I checked out the checklists. The “short” one is 6 pages long. Impressive. [And a lotta work; I hope you have fun communicating!]

toymax ~ This is my ask for permission to join the book club chat, Miss B.J. I‘m proud to be the first member 🙂 [Proud to have you as the first member, Max!]

otkfme ~ I have attended many BDSM spanking parties where the subs are naked and the Doms are fully clothed. The Doms also can inspect any of the subs before they choose which sub they want to use. Most of the time, a sub fills out a checklist for the Doms to read. The ones I have filled out have only been one page long and with yes or no answers. I do like your checklists better, especially the group one. This type of communication is so important between subs and Doms. [Thanks for the compliment and for sharing!]

In the last blog post, I rolled out a new feature ~ B.J.’s Online Book Club. I wasn’t sure how it would be received, and didn’t expect any sign-ups, but I’m happy to report I was wrong! A date has not been set yet because I’m still working out the bugs. So DM me with your email address, username for the chat, and three days/times that work best for you that are EST:

bdsmlr ~ Not Safe for Work
Tumblr ~ Questionably Safe for Work
Twitter ~ Safe for Work
TwitterNSFW ~ Not Safe for Work
FetLife ~ Safe for Work
Right Here ~ Safe for Work

A HUGE thank you to Multiperv, rubbug and toymax for helping me test the chat feature. It was cool that it was a chat room and kinda worked… ultimately, though, it was a fail. There was a lag to the messages and, most annoying, some messages were dropped. It was all fine until *MY* messages failed to send!

There were only four of us in the room, and I can only imagine it getting worse when we add more. Rubbug made this comment during the test that made me chuckle: “We’re working out the kinks to access the kinks”

So it’s back to the drawing board. I think I found a different plug-in… stay tuned!

In the meantime, VOTE for the first book to discuss. The winner of the moment is “Caught in Chastity”.

We will talk about the book, and you will be able to ask questions of me as the author and also as the character!

Guest Blog Post

Need more of me? You can read a guest blog post I was asked to write for Podopheleus. I talked about him in a recent blog post.

“The Service Sub” should be released next week! Newsletter subscribers will get the first announcement, so make sure you’re subscribed. Check out the cover!

Compilation

A recent Creative Survey pic inspired L.K. Lynch to wonder: what happened to that guy that led up to the picture being taken? And he didn’t just wonder; he wrote nearly 1,500 words about it. Then suggested that we could do another compilation.

Before I give you the link, let me warn you that there is nudity in the pic, and the site itself is highly NSFW. That said, here is the survey pic.

I sent emails to Sean O’Toole and Jessie Spectre with the image, the overview, and the subject line read “How About a Quickie?”

I first heard back from Sean, who said:

“John’s worst nightmare was suddenly finding himself completely naked in front of a crowd of beautiful women who point and laugh at his small penis.

The End.”

Jessie’s response was minutes later:

“There was a loud thud as the last few inches of his mighty member hit the ground. Two seconds later, he was trampled to death by a room full of prostitutes all running for the exit the same time.

The end”

You see what I have to put up with?? <–she asks lovingly.

Conclusion: The compilation is a go, and I hope to have that to you next month!

If you’re in the mood for a collection of short-shorts and you have to have it RIGHT NOW, check out “Spring Break Three Ways”, “Hard-Boiled Kink” and “Cupid’s Quiver”.

New Short Story

I’m also starting a short story about a man who falls victim to an online bot.

Speaking of bots… I recently received this DM in Tumblr:

I’m Mistress Cora,How are you doing today,I look through your profile and thought i should contact you being my slave,I will like to know more about you if you are interested dm on kik [removed for your protection]
Telegram: [removed for your protection]
Discord: [removed for your protection]

The errors are compliments of the bot. Those should be your first indicator that it’s not a real person and/or a real offer. Second, you should be on high alert if anyone offers to go off-site in a first communication.

For me, it’s easy to see it’s a bot because if anyone had spent time looking through my blogs (not “profile”), it would be evident that I’m not a sub.

I understand your desires to submit, and how it’s not always easy to spot the scammers. That’s why I point it out repeatedly.

Instead of going off-site with a bot this weekend, cuddle up with a B.J. Frazier book!
