You guys are awesome! Thank you for the outpouring of love with V-day gifts and all of the congratulations on my certifications. You make me feel special.
Congrats to the winners of my V-day Mystery challenge, from the last blog post. Many of you are very good sleuths!
For those of you who missed it, I challenged people to find the new picture on my site that corroborated my mantra that kink toys don’t have to be expensive. The winning answer was found on my Kinky Links page, where there were two hearts in clothespins.
That prize was in addition to the Valentine’s sale, and newsletter subscribers received an extra price break last week. Don’t miss another special offer; sign up for my newsletter now at the bottom of this page.
Leather Leadership Conference
I was invited to vend at the Leather Leadership Conference in LA in March. It will be held in the same hotel as DomCon. If you’re going, let me know.
I was also asked to provide a live reading, and I’m excited about selecting a couple of tasty snippets.
Dominion Onyx is the Vice Chair and Vending Coordinator of the organization, and I had a lovely conversation with him. I look forward to interviewing him at the conference, and, of course, introducing you to him.
Sep will be my trusty booth boy, and I thank him in advance. I’m hopeful he can attend a class or two and do some write-ups. With the crew down to two, I will be manning the booth.
But it will be fun. Stay tuned!

Here’s what you said after the last blog post.
otkfme ~ It is about time you are certified as a Master Sexpert. From your writings, you are very aware of how both a woman’s and a man’s body works, and what is a “turn-on for both a man and a woman. You are also aware of all of the kinks too. I am always surprised when I read your books, how detailed they are too. Congratulations! [Thank you; you’re very sweet!]
Warm thoughts and *big hugs* go out to Multiperv in remembrance of his beloved Isabel. It’s never easy.
I talked with servicepet this weekend, after he saw “Babygirl”. He told me: “OMG! You were so right about babygirl! It was awful! Top ten worst movies ever.” We rehashed the idiocy, and he added: “The script has some of the right words, but the plot is so ridiculous.” That is very true. It mentioned “consent” around the 75% mark into the movie, and it was embedded in ~ “consent means you obey everything I say”.
Servicepet also said, “And then try to describe her kink as something akin to mental illness.” <–it’s this sentiment that is truly shudder-worthy. I heard from a female lifestyle submissive, and servicepet knows two more who enjoyed the movie. If you’re kinky or live a kinky lifestyle, it would be easy to overlook the gaping holes this movie creates in order to presume psychological implications. To that end, I understand how a submissive could feel “heard”.
However, to never reinforce that kink is NOT evil, is NOT a mental illness, and you’re not a horrible person to fantasize, well, this is my biggest problem with the movie–and there are many problems.
On another note, sep sent me an article that discussed the nonconsensual consent aspects of “Babygirl” and “Nosferatu”. Has anyone seen the original and the latest versions? Nosferatu does a great job of pretending to seek consent, but, again, it’s under the guise of “I order you to give yourself freely”; which, of course, is not consent.
You were quite vocal on the “Babygirl” discussion, so I remind you that the next Book Club is Saturday, February 22 at 4p Eastern. We get into some pretty heavy debates, and we’d love to have you join us. See the Book Club section below for more information or DM me to join.
I have been really sick the past week… I hope none of you get whatever flu’s going around. Stay safe!
Send me your comments, and I’ll put them in the next blog post!
