Lots of Updates

This is Knot DomCon Books One and Two Receive 5*s

My latest trilogy has received high marks, and readers have been salivating for the final installment.

If you haven’t started it, get your ass to Book One and start reading now!  By the time you finish Book Two, I should have Book Three published.

If you’ve read them but haven’t reviewed them, please take the time to do so.  Every review counts… so please leave reviews for all of the books you’ve read.  You will satisfy my feedback craving  🙂

This is Knot DomCon Book 3 Update

I read the final installment to Claire in Cancun, and she wants everyone to know that she “fell all over herself with the unfolding saga of all of these nefarious subplots.”  Whenever I checked to see if she wanted me to continue, she’d say, “I want you to keep reading, goddammit!”  😀

When you actually get to read the book, Claire warns, “Hold the fuck on ‘cause there’s a lot of twists and turns.”

[Note:  Newsletter subscribers got bonus pix from my Cancun vacation.  Sign up for my newsletter at the bottom of the page today and don’t miss out on the next bonus!]

I wasn’t able to read several non-vanilla parts, so I have to do the final edit on those.  And I am hoping to publish early next week.

Rest assured that all of the major and minor plot lines have been sewn up nicely… and it’s the longest one yet, coming in over 70k words!

Save the Date!

March 17th is fast approaching, and it marks the debut of my erotic fantasy/sci-fi soap opera!  I’m so excited!

I read the first episode to Claire on vacation, and I brainstormed plot lines with Thomas Antonson in between recording.  Claire gives it two thumbs up, and Thomas may be a contributing writer in future eps.

My smedia blogs have been teasing about an event for newsletter subscribers.  So make sure you are a subscriber before the 17th!

Recording Update

I just finished recording the final book in the “Mistress Managed” series.  Thomas Antonson and I nearly needed to “take a break”… or several… this last time.  I forgot how hot it was… and it’s sooo good!  Thomas says it remains his favorite of my over-50 books.

Post-production is underway.  A huge shoutout to Morgan Greystroke for audio mastering the really bad recordings from Book One.  Thomas freely admits to brain farts when setting the levels.  I was afraid we would have to re-record the entire book but, thanks to Morgan, we’re saved.

He’s jacking up all the levels–and some other technical terms to mean he’s putting us in balance so you can hear everything beautifully.  Thank you, Morgan!

The first book of the trilogy should be live hopefully the end of this month or beginning of April.  If you haven’t read it yet, start now with Book One.

Blooper Reel and Interview

When we first started to record, Thomas came up with two great ideas.  The first was to create a blooper reel.  As he goes through the recordings to edit the “bad takes”, he’s pulling out some bloopers.  He emailed me the other day with something that made him laugh out loud.

I had forgotten it, and it made me smirk for entirely different reasons.  🙂

Thomas also said he wanted to interview me about writing the book.  I told him if he’s going to do that, then I’m going to interview him, too.  We took time after recording to interview, and I have to say that it was SO MUCH fun!

I have no idea how we’ll actually sound but the process itself was a blast.  Thomas will be tossing that into post-production after he finishes with MM2 and MM3.  I will admit to being pretty excited about what you guys think of it.

It will be exclusive to my website, so make sure you sign up for my newsletter to be in the know!

To Thomas ~ I’ve said this in person but you need to see it in print:  Thank you.  I know you were against recording “Mistress Managed” together but I think it adds more for the listener to hear the banter come alive.  For me, I’m ecstatically grateful for how you breathed life into the characters I created.

It won’t come across in the audiobooks but every time Thomas started to read a different character, I did a happy dance and grinned… sometimes missing my cue.  He is a true artist with eons of experience, and I’m kinda daunted to perform with him.  Thomas assures me, though, that I’m “fine” (which I think is a four-letter F-word) and, more importantly, that people want to hear the author read her own words.

It’s been a long ride and a helluva time and, in the end, I hope you will agree with Thomas when you listen.

I had no idea how much of an energy suck it is to “orally perform” but I’m glad I did it, and I’m glad Thomas was with me!

Until these are available, please check out my other audiobooks.

Kink Communication Coach

I help many people understand toys and/or basic kink as well as coach them on communicating.  Specifically, men who are in longstanding relationships and want to bring up the topic of kink with their partners.

I am an amazing coach.  Take my word for it… and others’, too.  I’ve asked people to write letters of recommendation.

The first one is from sizeerrorprojection:

Author B.J. Frazier has given me insights into relationships that truly helped me discuss D/s and BDSM with my partner. I tried my best to provide open and honest information about who I am, who I believe my partner to be, the state of our relationship, and how I would like our relationship to change. B.J. helped me see my partner’s potential view points and offered advice on how to successfully broach difficult conversations with her. I had already made mistakes that had damaged our relationship. B.J. pointed out why my actions were mistakes, why I was motivated to make them, and how I could recover from them so my partner and I could continue our conversations. I find B.J. very easy to talk to, even when she is telling me something I don’t want to hear. I do my best to consider what she has to say carefully. Not always initially, but in the end, I have rarely disagreed with her insights and suggestions. Over time, B.J. helped the two of us, through her discussions with me, improve our communication and intimacy, and start solving some root problems in our relationship. My partner and I have a way to go to repair some trust issues we have with one another, and we both have some personal work to do, but we are on the path and our relationship is improving. I am eternally grateful to B.J. for her insights and suggestions that helped me realize what I am really looking for in a relationship with a partner. Her encouragement and knowledge have given me the knowledge and voice I needed to move forward in my relationships.

Wish List Woes

WishTender is in beta testing with its new financial partner; unfortunately, I am not a beta tester.  I will look into other wish list platforms, should this one not be viable.  However, I probably won’t get to it in the next few weeks–which is the time frame they claim to need to go live again.

Until then, consider buying me a drink or gift me an amount of your choice using my “Buy Me A Drink” feature on my website.  You can add a note for a specific gift you’d like it to be for.

Thank you for reaching out about sending me gifts.

Bdsmlr Comments

NOT Safe for Work Link

The admins actually responded to my tickets last month.  Unfortunately, they could give me no time frame on when the critical problems would be solved–like, white posts, mass uploader to drafts, archives, etc.–only that the developers are aware of the issues and are working on them.

They remain committed to banning bots but it’s not something they can patrol on their own and rely upon us to notify them.  So the next time you receive a DM from a bot, don’t just block it; report it.  That way, the admins can ban the blog and hopefully spare someone trouble.

Also last month, I heard of a blog that was banned.  When the user wrote to ask why, he was told that it was against the rules to use a shortened URL.  His blog was reinstated, provided he not do it again.

For those of you who use Twitshitland, shortened URLs are necessary because of the character limit per post.  Keep in mind that bdsmlr does not allow it.  I’m not sure of the other smedia sites but it’s something to look at beforehand.

Here’s what you had to say after the last blog post.

Multiperv ~ Congratulations on finishing book 3 of Knot Domcon and congrats on starting your sci-fi epic.  [Thank you!]

You know, if you gave your readers a bit more heads up on yours and Claire’s trips to Cancun or wherever, you could probably line up some extra enthusiastic cabana boys.  [Oh man, we were sorely in need of cabana boys!  Are you submitting your application, MP?]

I’m guessing they didn’t talk much about the kink sides of non-monogamy is because they were trying or hoping to show how normal and non-threatening it is becoming, and bringing up kink might just turn some people off or make them associate all non-monogamy with perverts. But yes, hopefully there are more advantages than just another pair of hands.  [This was from The Guardian article.  Thanks for that; I see your point]

Thanks to Toymax for his response about the German choice of words. And his reasons make sense. Many might find the term boy emasculating and/or even creepy depending on how much they read into it. [Yes, and thanks to our other German friends, IamHerProperty and Kleinschwanzcucky]

I hope the open source version of Adobe is user friendly and easy to pick up.  [It seeeems to be but I need to become better friends with it.  Combined some pdfs in the wee hours of the morning, so I’m happy]

toymax ~ – As a sci-fi fan, the date for D/s is saved. Another must-read for me. 🙂  [Yay!  It’s so soon now!  And my editor says it’s fantasy/sci-fi, so hopefully that’s a bonus]

– I’m very jealous of Claire (but only in the best meaning), and not just that she gets TKD 2 and 3 read to her. I hope you two have a great time in Mexico.  [:D We did… as you saw in the Newsletter Subscriber-only pix]

– Funny Orbit made me grin instantly. Kudos to Your eldest and to rubbug.  [Yes, they both did a great job!]

– Thank you for accepting my job application  [haha… you’re gonna have a helluva commute, Max!]

Apologies to those comments I missed.  I know I talked to a lot of you, but I failed to copy and paste into my blog post document.  I blame the sun and too much travel.

Send me your comments on this one.  I’m not going anywhere the rest of the month, so I’ll get them in the next post!
