Save the Date!

Save the Date!

March 17th is Attis Day, which is the proper beginning for “The Dominion and the Sugilite”.  D/s is my new erotic, sci-fi soap opera.  I’m excited to report that, after tons of research, world building, character development, and oodles of wicked plot twists, I have put some words on the screen!

The first episode has been circling my mind for a long while, and I expect a March 17th release will be easy to achieve.

So save that date… and also, make sure you’re a newsletter subscriber.  Because March 17th will also bring a huge gift to my subscribers!

But Wait, What Happened to the Final Book of the DomCon Trilogy?

Newsletter subscribers got a bonus email earlier this month informing them that I had not only finished the first draft of “This is Knot DomCon – Book Three” but had shipped it to the editor!

It’s a long’un; over 70k words filled with delicious scenes, several climaxes–ahem, I mean conclusions–and bows to tie up all the loose strings from the series.  You’re gonna LOVE it!

If you haven’t started the series… what’s wrong with you?  Start reading Book One now.  By the time you finish both books, I should have Book Three published.

Newsletter subscribers also got an exclusive sneak peek at the Book Three cover… whaddya think?

My editor has returned the manuscript to me.  And next week, I will be reading Book Two and Book Three to Claire as we sit in the sun and drink cocktails in Cancun!

Wish List Thanks And…

Thank you to those of you who made my Valentine’s Day that much more special with a gift from my Wish List!

Last week, WishTender, the host of my wish list, parted ways with Stripe, after being assured that they would process “wishes”.  The news came as a shock to WishTender and left them scrambling to find an alternative financial partner.  More than that, Stripe only provided a small window with which to transfer the financial infrastructure.

Why am I telling you this?  Because I know some of you outside of the United States were precluded from sending me wishes.  The big focus seems to be out-of-country transactions, and Stripe shut those down sooner than ones in the U.S.

If you tried to fulfill one of my wishes but weren’t able to, this is why.

The morning of February 15th, WishTender beta testers were using the new system. I hope it will be unveiled soon, so please keep trying.  And thank you for the thought.

My Dog Orbit as a Meme

Orbit is a purebred charcoal lab, who remains alive strictly because of how damn cute he is.  😀  He’s a shit, for sure.  But he is also extremely lovable, cuddly (read:  will body-drop on you, regardless of what may be in the way), sweet… and, when sleepy, he smiles.

The window for witnessing and capturing said smile is very short.  The best time is when he just wakes up, and you have to say his name in a very high-pitched voice and make grabby-fingers at him.  He’ll either smile, try to find a toy or kiss you.

If he puts a toy in his mouth or kisses you, the window has been closed.

On rare occasions, he will smile and smile and smile.  Because it’s so adorable, I just want to get him to do more, completely forgetting to take a picture.  On the flipside, whenever I remember to take a picture, he instantly stops.

My eldest captured four great pictures of Orbit smiling, and I shared them with rubbug, who said the image could be a meme.  Naturally, I told him to make one!

Thanks to rubbug, I share with you Orbit’s meme.  Give him props!

Is Monogamy a Thing of the Past?

The Guardian posted an article last month that non-monogamous relationships are on the upswing.  I read it because I was interested in how these relationships work, whether they consider themselves married, how they tell the family, and similar issues.

I have to say, though, that I’m rather disappointed; not only because those things weren’t really discussed but that there wasn’t much focus on the kink side of relationships.

To me, it read as a testament for having the proverbial village to raise kids.  The writer had twins and lamented lack of sleep, and the usual things that first-time parents deal with.  She was envious of a friend of hers, who was always non-monogamous, having another adult in the marriage.

There were some overtures about kink but they fizzled in favor of having another chauffeur, chore-doer, and cook in the household.

Maybe it’s just me.  Tell me what you think of the article.

Here’s what you had to say after the last blog post.

rubbug ~ Congrats on the release of Book 2 of This is Knot Domcon.  As you know, I’m excited to read it and will as soon as I can.  [I do know–thanks for the review!]

That German sounded pretty legit! I’m sure I’d get on my knees immediately if I knew what it meant without the translation.  [‘Cause you’re a good boy, rb]

toymax ~ On the subject of “New Laptop”. It’s my pleasure to assist You, Miss B.J. Although I wouldn’t call myself an IT geek, I would love to apply for a job as one of Your IT-guys.  [I am seriously enamored with the dream of having live-in IT guys to help with everything; so, application accepted, Max!]

Don’t lower your IT knowledge, Miss B.J. You never give up, you try to fix every upcoming problem, which is outstanding. Although You don’t want it, You’re on a good way to become an – call it however You want, I call it – expert.  [Thank you, but it does not feel that way]

On the subject of “Book Club”: What a hot idea to bake penises and vulvas in real life. It was not surprising to me that this bakery is in America. Then I looked to see if we had that in Europe, too. There are similar bakeries in Spain and Poland, and then I discovered that there was even such a bakery in Berlin/Germany. Unfortunately, it is closed.  [Your next occupation, Max, is to open such a bakery and sell my books! :D]

To Multiperv’s question: First I want to clarify, that I never met a german Mistress nor a Mistress from any other country. My opinion regarding “Why would a Mistress in Germany never say “On your knees, boy”? in German words” is based on my imagination. In the German language, the word “boy” – which is “Junge” in German – is actually used exclusively for a kid. I guess the Mistress would rather use the word “slave” – which is “sklave” in German – to address a male sub. Perhaps there is a real sub from Germany here who has experience with a Mistress and can answer this question better.  [That makes sense, Max, thanks.  Also, I think it’s personal, too.  Someone may prefer boy to slave…]

On the “Germany” part: You nailed it again. You sent me on my knees, Mistress B.J. Thank You, Mistress. I’m – again – very proud of You.  [BIG GRIN!!  I had the pleasure of actually saying it and watching Max get to his knees!]

IamHerProperty ~ Why would a Mistress never say “On your knees, boy”? “Auf die Knie, Junge”, especially to western Germans sounds extremely Dutch (Sidenote: Still looking for a Domme speaking Dutch on the web), where “Junge” is basically “Dude”. So that would be “On your knees, Dude”. To me, at least “Slave” is controversial, as you know, and my Domme would never ever use that, not in German, and especially not in English. Lastly, our “language of engagement” is English, as it has been for me for 20 years, even though, outside of play, we switch wildly between English and German. Therefore, I don’t really know what Dommes say in German. And I can actually imagine that in the Gay BDSM scene, “Junge” doesn’t even sound so bad.
What does my Domme call me? My profile picture says it all, she’ll say “On your knees, bitch!”. In English  [I think slave is fairly common in D/s play but I understand if it’s a trigger for you or your mistress.  I’ve seen several German blogs in bdsmlr and Tumblfux where they use “sklave”.  Thanks for sharing, IHP!]

To see IHP’s avatar, check out his blog.  But note, the blog is Not Safe For Work, but his avatar is.

Kleinschwanzcucky ~ Wow! Amazing! You totally nailed it! Danke! ☺ Seems like you’re a natural talent. I prefer boy. But I’m probably not your usual sub anyway. Slave is a term that a professional dominatrix would use, which I don’t find super appealing, personally. I like dominant women, like the girl next door, if you know what I mean. And they would rather find a fitting nickname, so yeah, boy, shorty, little one or something like that.  [Sehr gerne, KS… and thanks for sharing!]

Multiperv ~ Congrats on the new laptop and I hope you somehow finally got Adobe working.  [Thank you… alas, no, not even with all of the titles Max has bestowed upon me. However, he is having me switch to an open source program to avoid the ridiculous subscription fees]

Nice cover on Book 3. Where did that cool looking purple paddle come from?  [Hmm, I wonder??  I’m sure it had nothing to do with DomCon NOLA or a gift from sep! *grin*]

“What’d you think about no one being able to tell that Memphis was upset, except for Tessa?” That seemed believable to me as someone who also apparently (sometimes) seems to display emotions, at least unpleasant ones, in an understated way. It’s good for general calm, I suppose, but also probably leaves Memphis feeling somewhat invisible and/or maybe ignored or invalidated at times.  [Thank you for answering!!]

When you wrote about the link to the post on ‘New York’s sexiest bakery”, I couldn’t help thinking about Stefon, if you happen to know that Bill Hader SNL character from a few years ago. “This bakery has EVERYthing!…”  [I LOVE Stefon! Here’s a link to a Valentine’s Day clip]

john7000sblog sent me this image in tumblfux, which I had to share.  Thanks, John!
