I was supposed to be born today, as my mom loves to remind me. I expect a call sometime today that will start, “Do you know what today is??” It’s a conversation we’ve had for… well, a L-O-N-G time now, and it’s become almost scripted.
I wanted to be born a Leo, and I waited until the 26th to give the world my present–well beyond the 23rd beginning of the sign, so there could be no question as to my Leo-hood. Ha, that’s more tongue-in-cheek, because I don’t completely embody the douche-y side of the lion, though I am quite fiery. 🙂
So don’t panic if you didn’t get me a present–there’s still time! And thank you to those who sent early bday gifts, so I could schedule my pampering on my day. 🙂

For those developing their own ‘I’ve got that!’ service bags, on two different occasions I’ve come to the rescue by having…tampons, which somehow surprised me a bit as I thought ladies would have their own – and I suppose they might if the fashion industry believed they deserved pockets – but at any rate service subs may want to buy a variety pack of those and keep a few on hand or, I guess, in bag. [First, pockets would be nice, but they also may highlight the item. Second, sometimes Aunt Flo pops in unexpectedly. Third, consider adding *pads* in the bag, as they double for soaking up spills, too :p]

I love the idea with the chip clips. Mistress Olivia’s sub will most likely enjoy Your clips. I haven’t dared to use chip clips on THAT part of my body yet – maybe I should give it a try. [Make sure to ice your nips before you apply and then again before you remove them. Humiliation & Degradation: I think that’s the hardest part when you’re a wannabe sub: trying to get your vanilla partner to take on a dominant role. They find it difficult to understand the stimulus or excitement caused by humiliation and degradation – it also goes for pain. It’s almost impossible to get someone who isn’t kinky to at least give the topics a chance. “Why should I shame or hurt the one I love?” In my experience, things get blocked pretty quickly here. [But good communication can open these doors… it’s actually the focal point of a nonfiction book I will be writing–two, really. One for women, and one for men, which can be read by both sexes to get a full picture. Stay tuned!]
Mind Play and Improv: As a completely inexperienced wannabe sub, I imagine this to be the highest level of a D/s relationship. To be brought into sub space through words, gestures and actions by a Dominant person who is able to improvise on reactions – just wow. [Not just the dominant but the sub, too! Improv is the part I think I love the most about D/s roleplay]

The degradation and mind game classes made me think of my own triggers and how they’re closely tied to my kinks. I imagine having these discussions beforehand and having the ability to slow down or stop scenes entirely is important. Same goes for the dominant as well. Just glad they are informing people of stuff like this because two inexperienced people could be bad if they’re triggering each other without knowing how to pivot out of it. [That’s a good point… which leads back to: communication is key!]
The improv thing again seems really cool as it forces someone out of their own head. The types of improv seem really fun and not so scary. When I read about it in the last blog post, I thought it was cool but had a hard time imagining going from quiet and reserved to acting out randomly improvised scenes. DOMCON Review 3. It was great to read the various impressions from the DomCon LA sessions and hear about things that happened in the vendor zone. I was particularly interested in electro play because that’s something I’ve seen but never actually tried (as a TOP, not a bottom). The science/physics of wands wasn’t new to me, but the ways that they can/should be used in BDSM play made me even more curious about trying them out on someone. Any volunteers? [*grin*]

I missed a “cute quip”… After going through my spiel about having over 50 books to a potential reader, she immediately said, “It’s too bad you don’t have a quiz that people could take, where you ask what we like to read about, and then have it suggest a book.” I smiled, thinking, if this were a reality TV show, it would totally have been scripted! Holding up a finger, I grabbed my quiz sign and presented it to her.
She smiled, told me I was smart, and immediately set about to take it. Luckily, what she paired with was one I had in hardcopy. And yes, she purchased it.

Sep was in charge of planning our meals and/or restaurants, and he found this gem. We ate here Friday night. It’s unassuming from the outside, nestled in a strip mall. But once you step in, you feel like you’ve teleported to Italy.
The décor, the waitstaff, and the food were nothing short of perfection! We were treated like royalty… and had no idea that we stayed a bit past closing time, because they were *that* gracious.
In chatting with our waiter, who was NOT Tony (inside joke: he gave out Tony’s name in case of complaints), we were sad to learn that COVID seriously downgraded their business, which is why they closed a lot earlier.
The place was so good that we returned Saturday… and “our waiter” remembered our drink orders. I cannot say enough about this place and strongly recommend it–even told my family about it! Mangia!
Sep Leaves the Booth
With the beginning of every vending period, I second-guess my presence at kink conventions… as I watch people flit into the room, charged to get to their favorite vendor; with or without promises of returning to my booth. It’s an initial, panicked insecurity, which turns out to be unfounded.
DomCon LA 2024 was no exception. Coming down from the high of “returning home” and reuniting with friends, the dismal lack of sales challenged my happiness.
Until sep left the booth, that is.
Sep went to a series of back-to-back-to-back classes, leaving Claire and I to do nothing but sell-sell-sell! So dramatic was the turnaround that I joked with sep that his absence sparked sales!
He offered to leave again as a serious funny. But in all seriousness, sep’s presence in the booth was appreciated and needed, and I’m grateful for his engineering skills, his ‘I’ve got that’ bag, and, most of all, his support.

Old Tricks for New Dommes – Social Media Edition by Mistress Mia Darque
Multiperv’s perspective
First off, Mistress Mia recommended spending roughly $250 to purchase a domain & website hosting, especially since other providers or hosting services are closing down adult-oriented sites with little or no warning.
(MP note): I advise you to wait until you’ve decided on a handful of possible domain names for yourself – in case your first choice is already taken – and then to WAIT until you are actually ready to purchase one or more of those domain names before doing a search to see if they are available. The reason for this is that there are spiders or bots out there that look to see terms are being searched for. Then the people that run those buy up those domain names so they can later re-sell them to you at much higher rates. If you wait until you’re ready to pull the trigger, you can do a search to see if it’s available and, if not, buy it immediately at a still low price.
Mistress Mia’s advice applies to all the free smedia platforms. “Discretion is Your Best Friend”. You can be shadow-banned by association. So if bots see that you follow questionable accounts, they may shadow-ban you. Be careful who you follow or become online ‘friends’ with.
Remember that the ‘internet is forever’ and, even if you delete things, they’re still archived. So think before you “do”.
Mistress Mia also recommended people get different email accounts on multiple servers. Job searches, personal correspondence and backup accounts should be SEPARATE from your professional and/or kink accounts. Also, do NOT sync contacts to apps, because it could combine personal/vanilla with work/kink.
Important Safety Tips. Avoid posting your exact location. Ex: “Tampa area” versus Lettuce Lake Park (yes, that’s real). There is a documented case of someone posting or doing a livestream being found shot and killed by gang members who they had seen their post or livestream.
Be careful about posting private locations, license plates, having a non-chain coffee store logo on cups, etc., things that could give away your location or ways to track you.
Guidelines Particular to the Industry. “Explicit Content” is defined differently on each platform, so know before you post.
You must get permission of anyone in your content. While it seems like a hassle, it saves you time in the long run. Cleared content will expand your post reach by two to three times. Also remember to tag, tag, tag others in the post/scene, when possible.
Cancel Culture Is Real. So delete comments or posts you no longer resonate with or have more knowledge about.
“Fuck around and Find out.” Bad behavior in real life can negatively affect the platform, even if you haven’t violated the rules. Ex: Adidas and Kanye; Shadow-banning and (Dis)Association.
Emoji responses don’t count toward engagement. Try to get people to type five+ words. Pose questions that would lead to a longer response. Ex: “What is your favorite kink?” Or, why or what do they like most about…
Use hashtags wisely. Mistress Mia says that hashtags are still effective on X/Twitter. On INVESTIGATION, though, she advises not to hashtag anything that isn’t ‘pg’ or under.
Mistress Mia spoke in depth about how to navigate different smedia, which I [B.J.] am removing for relevancy. If interested, let me know.
Reminders. The internet is not reality. Smedia only matters when you give it power. Also, Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was your brand. Consistency is key.
Travel Tips. When traveling to other countries, Mistress Mia advised turning your phone generic and non-sexual, like a white family (this is coming from an imposing black woman), or animals, in case it’s looked at by customs people or local authorities. She also advised removing smedia apps from your phone. If customs open such apps and see your kink content, it could lead to trouble, especially in more repressive countries.

Scent Play ~ by Veda X

I was pleasantly surprised to see a very full class, with some people around the perimeter. I didn’t think there would be enough to talk about to fill the allotted time but, I sit and write, corrected.
Veda X is a professional dominatrix from the NYC area with several years of experience. In her experience, this type of play started with a former partner of hers, and, once she became a pro, she got many requests involving scent play.
Scent is one of the strongest triggers and it can quickly and strongly take someone to a certain time or incident or drop them into sub space (and, I presume, top space). Additionally, scent is the strongest tie to memory so it can be used to train a Pavlovian response.
Olfactophilia, per Wiktionary.com, is sexual arousal caused by smells or odors, especially from the human body. As Veda X says,”Sniffers are perverts and scents are powerful.”
Scent play is a ‘soft skill’ that can be learned and applied without a lot of training, unlike needle play, single tail whips, etc. It is not, however, for everyone, so doms–especially pros–should match it to their persona only if it is a good fit.
Veda mentioned that sensory deprivation pairs well with scent play because, when you deprive a person of one or more senses, it heightens the awareness of the remaining senses. Some common tools for sensory deprivation are blindfolds or sleeping masks, noise-cancelling headphones or earplugs, a tape gag, and gloves, mittens, or even oven mitts.
Veda outlined three major zones: armpits, crotch/butt area, and feet. The easiest way to stimulate scents in most of these areas is exertion. Some type of physical activity and/or wearing warm clothes at the same time.
Diet can affect the scents you produce, so be careful to produce the scents you want and avoid ones you don’t. For example, garlic can affect your sweat (and breath), asparagus, broccoli, etc. Veda added that if a pro is doing multiple days of prep to charge accordingly.
The smell of latex can overwhelm other scents, so she recommends wearing latex over other clothes if you want to preserve some of the underlying scents for the scene.
She also advised that if you want to generate or maximize scents in the butt and crotch area to wear clothing that does NOT breathe, including things like synthetic underwear.
Mistress Veda also mentioned a fun game where she blindfolded a sub then presented him with both her armpits and had him guess whether it was the right or the left. She said they somehow always got it right! You could play similar games with your feet.
Another fun and simple technique is to put panties, underwear, or socks/stockings over the sub’s face, maybe even securing them so they have no choice but to breathe the scent. You need to ensure they can still breathe.
She mentioned that feet are probably the most common area of requests for scent play. Again, synthetic materials can be the most effective, whether it’s shoes, boots, stockings, socks, etc. In my experience, different materials lead to different scents. For example, nylon socks smell differently than cotton ones.
Mistress Veda said a technique for generating foot scent quickly is to wrap feet in towels or Saran Wrap and put them near heat for a few minutes. Another ‘quick start’ technique is to run hot water over your feet, then keep them wet as you immediately put on cheap socks and/or shoes.
Veda X mentioned, in addition to selling scented socks/hosiery, you can sell worn-out shoes or boots.
She urged people to be careful of faking your scents via bleu cheese, onions, or other methods, as some people will be able to tell and it could hurt your reputation, which can be difficult or impossible to rebuild.
Posterior Scents – a/k/a Farting. I’m not into this and may have unconsciously blocked this, er, subtopic, but Mistress Veda said this area can be very lucrative for the dom/me willing to indulge. She advised putting ‘scent play’ and ‘farting’ in your keywords, and interest will go up.
One secret she shared is a Nasal aspirator. You insert it in your butt, add some air, keep squeezed, then remove it. There are many foods that help, like lactose-based foods, beans and fiber. She said to beware of fake sugars.
She also pointed out that there are other types of scent play not associated with the above, such as shampoo, unwashed hair, deodorant, and other hygienic items.
Perfumes have different pheromones, and she recommended testing in advance with subs because people can have love or hate reactions to different scents.
As far as prepping the sub, someone suggested breath mint strips that can help clear the nasal passages. It was also pointed out that oxygen intake with the scent helps make it more pungent.
As some final points Mistress Veda reminded us that kink is a team sport. Communicate in advance, be honest about desires, fantasies, and limits, and work together to make something great. Give people signals or safewords if the reality is not as enjoyable as the fantasy.

Sit On My Face: Smothering and Ass Domination ~ by Goddess Emmeline Devine

I actually got to this class by going into the wrong room but, in the spirit of Kinky Improv, I stayed! Goddess Emmeline Devine is a VIVACIOUS domme! Her excitement for the topic was evident, and the class cheered her at every opportunity.
I noticed her pointed vampire ears immediately, and everyone noticed her rear. She is a self-affirmed BBG, Big Booty Goddess. Goddess joined the BDSM scene in 2015, is a founder of the podcast Domme Nation, and Club Woe which believes in woman over everyone. She advocates education and believes in giving to the BDSM community to keep it thriving.
Goddess and her submissive gave a verbal presentation in the first half of class and a physical one for the second half.
So… why smothering and ass domination? It encompasses scent play, mental domination, as(s)phyxiation (couldn’t resist the second ‘s’), scat play (hard limit for me), and humiliation. Dommes find it expresses femininity as a source of fear and desire. It provides a quick buck, because it doesn’t require much training.
Safety is of primary concern since it’s a form of breath play–the kink everyone in Bloopers, Blunders, and Disasters thought caused the most deaths (NOT!). Most dungeons don’t allow breath play. Before beginning a session, the parties must agree on a signal for the sub to request air. “Air… not a fart!”, Goddess wisecracked as everyone chuckled.
In all seriousness, though, one minute without air causes brain damage. Shower after to avoid spreading disease. Be careful not to cause a deviated septum, i.e. – crushed nose cartilage. Don’t break face bones, and definitely don’t kill your sub! If your sub passes out, rub their sternum area, where their ribs come together, in an upside V, to wake them. It is tender in that area, so apply pressure without causing injury. Having smelling salts on hand is a good idea. Call emergency immediately if the first attempts don’t work.
When beginning play, be sure to warm up. Deprive the sub for a short period at first and increase the time so your sub is truly ready to hold his breath. Be sure to have a discussion with about any injuries or illnesses he is currently dealing with or applicable injuries from the past.
Goddess had her sub lay on a table so the class could see. She used a pillow to protect her sub’s neck and head. Goddess showed how her ass buried in her sub’s face put her in the perfect position to tease and deny him while she controlled his access to air. She parted her cheeks, settled on his face, and informed us she was creating a seal.
Goddess Emmeline mentioned your sub can be kneeling, lying down, or sitting. She had her sub kiss her ass.
Goddess recommends some basic stretching. Hip circles and Asian squats were mentioned to strengthen and stretch for the various positions one might be using. Asian squats will help when your partner is prone on the ground and you are standing. You need the strength and ankle flexibility to pick yourself up and lower yourself repeatedly. The strength and flexibility are necessary.
The top should never stabilize ON their bottom. Goddess said, “I have a 100lb weight difference between me and my partner. Does that mean I will kill him? YES.” The sub taps out or snaps fingers to indicate they can’t take it anymore. The sub can prepare for sessions by practicing Tantric or yoga breathing.
Goddess discussed variations in this type of play. The top can layer underwear and can tease the sub by removing some of them, making him beg or promise to pay for removal. The sub can be seated on the ground with his back and head against a wall as you bend over and settle against him.
Goddess Emmeline ended the class with a quick discussion of examples of limits the
top might have. No lips, no tongue, etc. She encouraged tops to end the session immediately if the limits were crossed.

Mistress B.J. is dressed in a sexy, sleeveless, black pantsuit. Purple-tinged hair and red ankle boots complete her look; business classy and powerful. B.J. and Claire cinch me into my red and black corset until, at the top of each breath, the corset’s grip reminds me I don’t have permission to breathe deeper. I like the restraint. I wear black, faux-leather pants and black, wing tip boots. My outfit is feminine and not feminine at all. I am who I am.
Mistress B.J. tells me to take a shirt for afterward in case I need release from the corset. Her concern is a reminder that she always takes care of me.
I am always a bit anxious dressed like this in public. Mistress’ presence alters those feelings, and I feel a little pride and comfort that I am with her as well.
Immediately upon entering the first play room, I see Goddess Mia Darque. You can’t miss her. She is a very tall, imposing, dark amazon with a red tinge to her Afro. She is wearing what looks like tightly-fitted armor over her curvaceous body.
The muscular slave from the chariot at the Red Carpet Ceremony, Metal Slime, has his wrists cuffed just above his face, elbows bent. He is stripped, and his back is to us as he presents to Mistress Mia, who is wielding an unfathomably large black flogger. She spins it in a figure-eight, brushing the submissive’s flesh before swinging it over head, around her body and across his ass with a loud THWACK!!
He cringes slightly, lifting one leg as he accepts the blow. She repeats the sequence forcing him to twist left and right as she lands heavier blows. He is strong, accepting. I am transfixed; mesmerized by her fierceness.
Metal Slime starts making small groans as the heavy blows continue to land. Brush, brush, brush, THWACK!!! Mistress Mia doesn’t repeat her patterns. She times the contact perfectly so he never knows when the blow is coming. And then he finally cries out, as the flogger strikes again, and we all jump back as part of the flogger breaks and flies towards us.
Mistress Mia ignores it and moves swiftly behind her sub to speak into his ear, hands moving over his body, soothing him. We had arrived after the session had started, but she is by no means finished with him yet. She picks up a long strap. It looks like it could be leather. The end is angled in a point. Maybe a dragon tail? It looks to be about 4ft. I’m quivering a little… in awe. Mistress Mia is so fucking powerful. Every step is decisive.

Then the other side. Again, perfect placement. And again. And again. He’s twisting back and forth. Fuck! He can take a lot. And his soft cries return, followed by another loud one. At the loud cry, Mistress swiftly moves forward to stroke her sub and whisper in his ear.
She picks up a paddle. It’s about 1ft x 3ft marked like a domino. A six and a four… this one’s a 10. The domino spots have holes so air can pass through. The handle looks like the grip of a baseball bat.
Mistress places her hands on his hips and pulls him back. She wields the paddle with one hand. Tap, tap, tap, SLAP!!! He takes the first blow. Soft cry on the second. On the third, he cries out and both of his feet leave the ground as he tries to handle the blow. Mistress Mia moves to him again, talking to him, stroking his sides with both hands. Jesus. What the hell is that?! It looks like a huge knife. I can’t tell if it’s actually metal. It’s about 1ft across and 3ft long with an angled, pointed end. One edge looks like it has serrations drawn on it. It has a name, “Ass Buster”. Mistress B.J. reminds me that Mistress Mia was carrying it around in the vending area earlier.
She slides it across her sub’s ass. And then SMACK!!!!! He’s leaving the ground and crying out already. Two more blows and he’s crumbling. Mistress Mia stops to soothe him.
We take a lap through this play room and the one across the hall. Mistress Manku from Mistress B.J.’s Goddess retreat last year is receiving foot worship, but I don’t recognize anyone else in this room. We move to the next. It’s larger. We move from station to station, weaving between scenes , being careful to give everyone the space they need to work, pausing briefly here and there. No one we know and nothing competes with Mistress Mia’s awesome display.
We return to Mistress Mia. She has finished. Her sub is still cuffed as she quickly turns and walks to get a chair. People give way. Her eyes are fierce, blazing, and her focus incredibly intense in sharp contrast to the laughing, loving, amazon I met in NOLA last
year. Mistress B.J. tells me she’s never seen Mistress Mia like that before and makes a comparison to Master Jim’s look when we saw him session with Miss Wet in NOLA.
Mistress Mia tears something that looks like butcher paper and sprays it with antiseptic and lays it, wet side up on the chair. She uncuffs her sub and helps him to the chair. His chin falls to his chest and he slumps a little, but holds himself there.
We head back to the lobby to get Mistress off her heels for a bit. There is one comfortable chair available across from a couple that had been playing with finger floggers next to Mistress Mia’s session, and Mistress sits and points to a metal-framed chair. I choose to kneel on the floor beside her. I’m being a brat, but, in that moment, I don’t even know it. I just want to openly show my submission to her.
Mistress Dahlia, whose dungeon was used for the Goddess Retreat last summer, has spotted Mistress B.J. and comes over. She is so sweet, nice, and loving. She has come to DomCon with a sub who’s been with her for eleven years. I am introduced, and this introduction is more personal, but it may just be the moment.
Mistress Dahlia loves Mistress B.J. and takes her by the hand. Back to the playroom we go, this time in Mistress Dahlia’s wake. She knows everybody and stops to talk and greet everyone, introducing us as we go. We first walk through the larger playroom. As the Mistresses talk, my eyes catch some intense e-stim play nearby.
The sub is strapped on her back to a cross, arms in a T with her arms and breasts exposed. Her dom wields a hand-held wand with connection to a power pack. She shakes and squeals as the device passes her breasts and arms, making tiny lightening bolts dance.
He gives her a brief respite after each pass before he starts again, sometimes changing the tip of the wand. My nipples are tingling and my nerves are straining to feel what she is feeling. After he attaches a globe to the end, he passes it from arm to arm and moves it to her ear, over her head to the other ear, and her screams intensify.
“That does *not* look like a good idea,” I say to Mistress B.J. She asks me, “Do you think you’d like that?” “I don’t know. I’m open to a lot of things,” I respond.
I’m glad she had me write about this experience first. There is so much to reflect upon, and I need to process. I would definitely like the e-stim, maybe not near my brain, though.
Mistress Precious has joined the group, and Mistress Dahlia is introducing us. B.J. has only casually met Mistress Precious, and focuses her attention on her.
I speak with Mistress Dahlia’s submissive for a bit, but I’m not really paying attention as I’m still focusing on the continuing e-stim session. I’m snapped out of my focus by Mistress B.J. calling me loudly. I snap to attention and follow her.
I see Goddess Phoenix with Joe and The Black Knight trailing behind her. I wave to Joe, and he smiles and waves back. We had had an opportunity to talk at length when I first arrived.
I know what’s about to transpire and why so many Mistresses and Goddesses have gathered. Joe has found an open St. Andrew’s Cross. I kneel on the floor next to Mistress B.J., who is seated. Joe and The Black Knight set up, then Joe strips down to his leather collar with “Property of Goddess Phoenix” engraved on the gold badge at his Adam’s apple.
He starts to focus and prepare himself mentally. His cock is caged in steel. Goddess Phoenix arranges her flogger and single tails on the stand. Her tools are elaborate, unique and made to put on a show. Mistress B.J. and I are off to one side, and the Goddesses and Mistresses have gathered together behind Goddess Phoenix.
Goddess holds up a finger to signal Joe to stand before her, then she signals him to prostrate himself, followed by a signal to take his position on the cross. No words are spoken.
She picks up a pair of stringy finger floggers and checks the space she has to move. I realize our seating arrangement has helped her to maintain the space. Joe’s hands are loosely on the cross. He is facing it. He is not bound, nor will he be.
Goddess Phoenix begins. She is much taller than Joe, and moves fluidly from left to right, up and down wielding the flogger in a Florentine pattern. Her eyes are intense with focus. Her strikes are mainly to his back, but she crouches and strikes down to his calves a few times as well. The strikes are mostly soft, interspersed with sharp SNAPS! as she doles a sharper blow. She is graceful. Dancing. Focused. Intense.
She moves to longer, more intense tools, checks her ceiling clearance, and adapting to the space. She turns on the LED light whips and gets to work. Bite marks from the flogger and LED whip appear in Joe’s flesh. My back is tingling as I shift my attention
from Joe to Goddess Phoenix.
She is a master, beautiful and fluid. She is putting on a show as the rainbows from the myriad of light pipes on her dual single tails create patterns in the dim room. It’s beautiful. I wonder if she’s actually striking him, but more and more welts appear–her kisses for her alpha submissive.
She puts the LED single tails back on the rack and moves to Joe, pressing her body against him from behind, enveloping him and talking to him. He has not cried out, but his head has dropped a little. There is so much love between them. She scrapes her nails down his sides and a little on his back as she talks to him and presses against him.
His head rises, and she steps back, picking up a pair of golden single tails. She always uses pairs of impact tools. Joe is in a state of pure rapture. She checks the space with her latest implement before going to work. Soft, soft, CRACK!!! Joe reacts now, his head snapping slightly back at the harder blows and dropping further and further forward until Goddess feels he has had enough. His back is covered in bites.
There is no dripping blood, but his flesh is torn in many spots. She moves against him, this time providing only comfort as his head is down and his eyes are closed. She stays with him, against him, and gives him time to come back into the room.
Then begins her cleanup. First, she sprays down a soft pad, I think with some sort of sterilizer and wipes down Joe’s back. Mistress B.J. tells me later that they use the sterilizer before the salve to help the wounds heal faster and protect them. If salve is used first, it seals the wound and it takes longer to heal and could potentially become infected. Joe’s hands have not left their unbound position on the cross the entire time.
I turn to Mistress B.J. and say, “I’m fading.” “Ready to go?” she asks. “Yes.”
We get up, and Mistress makes her farewells to the Mistresses and Goddesses. First of which to Goddess Phoenix, who happily embraces B.J. B.J. is able to be the first to wish her a happy birthday.
When we get to the car it’s 1:05 a.m. It’s Saturday already, and I expect a very busy day in the vending hall.
**To sep ~ Wow, this is such a beautiful first-hand sub account and so detailed, that I don’t think I could add much.
But that won’t stop me from trying. *grin* I spoke to Mistress Mia after DomCon and asked if she’d ever seen herself during a session. She said no but knew she was intense. She laughed her jovial laugh and said when she says she’s a sadist, she means it!
Even though I was surprised to witness Mistress Mia’s “transformation” at the play party from gregarious and warm-hearted to… well… *sadistic*, there was never a doubt in my mind that she was fully in control of the scene.
She also told me that Metal Slime has been with her for a long time, and he’s tough. People may think that she was going overboard during the play party scene, but she told me he immediately returned to her room, ate a cookie and began to compose music. Outside of DomCon, Metal Slime plays music via therapy to those in lower socio-economic areas.

Legends Panel
Not really a class but a wealth of experience and education, this panel stands on its own. It’s long but so necessary. I will try to be as succinct as possible but the insights are valuable.
Let me introduce you to this year’s panel:

Mistress Cyan – representing dommes in their 70s, and was inducted into the Dominatrix Hall of Fame in 2023
Goddess Rosemary – representing dommes in their 60s, appeared via Zoom
Goddess Phoenix, Mx. Eve Minax and Simone Kross – representing dommes in their 50s; all of whom were inducted into the Hall of Fame
Justine Cross – representing dommes in their 40s
And the baby domme most likely to become a legend, Mistress Lila Sage – representing dommes in their 30s
Before the panel got started, sep said, “I don’t think people understand how much knowledge is sitting at that table. People might be aware of skills but not the passing of knowledge.”
It’s so true. To sit before those women was electrifying. It was recorded, and I hope the stories and wisdom makes it into a book about the legendary tales of professional dominatrixes… and it should be mandatory reading for anyone wishing to get into the profession.
Only a dominatrix with at least 10 years of experience is considered a legend. At the table, there were 150 yrs of combined experience across seven generations. They are pioneers in their own right.
To be included in the Hall of Fame, one needs to not only have successful and fabulous skills, but she has to give back to the community, leaving the industry better than she found it.
Describe your first ever professional session.
Mistress Cyan ~ She participated in a session, after which the person who had invited her gave Mistress Cyan a commission. “What’s that?” she asked. She was told it was for doing pro work. Mistress Cyan responded, “Awesome. I can do this stuff and get paid for it?” That’s when she decided to embark on her journey as a pro.
Mistress Cyan also commented on her first session. She did a negotiation and discovered the sub was into impact play. She thought they had a great scene but the sub had puppy dog look on his face because he was hoping to get some strap-on play. She wasn’t told about it, and he was disappointed. She explained that people learn through their mistakes and experiences. It’s a skill to learn what clients want but are afraid to tell you.
Goddess Rosemary. She was an erotica writer and had a chance to be in an actual scene with an actual dominatrix, so doing it was a big deal. The guy came into the dungeon looking nervous, and was put on the rack. The pro showed Rosemary how to do needle play. She was excited and got into the scene. After a bit, the sub said he had to leave. The pro told him if he leaves, he can never come back… and he left. Rosemary confessed that she and the pro were having so much fun that they terrorized the man.
Eve Minax. When she first started, there wasn’t a strong mentorship. She showed up, and the mentor said, “There’s your client. He likes heavy bondage, interrogation scenes and take me down.” Even though Eve had been doing BDSM for about five years at that point, it was a lot. The guy was 6’4 and 270 lbs of muscle. She said, retrospectively, she gets it; he needed to be taken down. But in that moment, she was freaking out. She did the best she could. Eve says it was the worst session of her life.
Overall, though, she warns, don’t mentor that way. Be a mentor and do it thoroughly. As to whether the guy was happy at the end? She doesn’t know. It was treated transactually, and she didn’t like that.
Tara Indiana interjected to say that the old way to hire in New York was they’d have you strip in a room. Then someone opened the door and looked at you, closed the door and said, “you’re hired.” It wasn’t about looks–it was to avoid police officers!
Goddess Phoenix said she went to a lifestyle event party in 1994 at a private estate and watched everyone doing their thing. A

man approached and said he’d love to session her. She thought he meant scene, so she said, yeah, great. He took her to a dungeon, where she was impressed with the assortment of whips, crops, rope, etc. She blindfolded him then chose the pole you turn curtains with, and beat him with it. He said he didn’t know he had that “cane”. Then she took off the rope from curtains and used it. At the end, he said it was very, very good, and handed her an envelope with $200. She asked, “What’s that for?” And he said, “That’s your first session.”
Simone Kross. She had a boyfriend who was into hardcore stuff. They were at a night club, and he asked her to tie him up and humiliate him. He actually taught her the lifestyle. She tied him up, called him a pig and kicked him in the nuts and thought, this is kinda fun!
Justine Cross. She is a huge fan of caning. She remembers holding the cane and feeling its power, thinking, this is fucking awesome. Her first client wanted to be caned. So she bent him over and, after 15 minutes of a beautiful warmup to intense caning, he came. Fifteen minutes and done! It was the easiest money she ever made… and it’s never been as easy since.
Lila Sage. She didn’t feel like her first session was terribly interesting. She flogged and use rope bondage, and they still keep in touch. But when she first felt the power of BDSM as a top, it was at a New Year’s Eve party. There were pro dommes in attendance, and she had just decided to be a professional. She wanted to talk to them. One woman had stern look and kitten ears, and they started chatting. Lila got a hunch and asked her if she’d like to lay her head in her lap so she could pet her? The woman accepted and, after a little while, Lila checked in.
The woman was crying because she always has to be in dom mode, and she never gets to be the kitten. Lila pointed out the importance of being “seen in your fullness”, and how we all need that in the world.
Tell Us a Tall Tale – something only another domme would believe happened.
Mistress Cyan. She said people like to fuck with pro dommes about coming up with scenes that they’d refuse to do. One guy said he wanted to do an intense interrogation scene, where it ends with him being shot. She thought about it and agreed. She collaborated with another pro domme. They do the interrogation, and the sub won’t give up “the info”. She tells him, we want your credit card number, and if you don’t give it, we’re gonna put you up on the cross and execute you. He said, fuck you guys.
So she cuffed him and put him on the cross. Then, they aim paintball guns at him and said, if you don’t give us the info by the time I count to three, you’re gone. He said, I’ll never talk. So she counted down and shot him. The paint was red, and he was splattered… “and he comes like there’s no tomorrow.”
Goddess Phoenix. She had a client who was an adrenaline junky, and loved edge play with creativity and spontaneity. He had a pest control business. Before the session, he said, put fear into me. Throw my nerves at the end. So she bought 100 mousetraps and blindfolded him. Then she put him in the middle of the room, laid the traps all around him, and said, “You have to find your way out.”
He had to crawl to get out, and he was terrified. After he snapped several, he pissed himself. As he paid her, he said, “I’ll pay you double if you can top this in 30 minutes.” Of course Goddess Phoenix accepted the challenge.
She brought him to the edge of his pool and tied a cinder block to his penis. Then she said, “You got a choice… you either gimme another 200 or I’m dropping the brick. And you’ve got 10 seconds to make a decision.” She counts 10, 9… and then pushed the brick.
She had used a crochet knot, so it had just slipped out. And she made the extra cash.
Simone Kross was invited to a fetish dinner party but she typically didn’t play in front of people. She got into some heavy BDSM shit with her boyfriend in front of people, and everything in background fell away. He was into breath play, and she was slapping him and spitting at him to bring him back. So she got a rep from that.
Justine Cross had a client with a roasting fetish. She was excited and layered the bed tin foil and got out a turkey baster, ingredients, oil, salt ‘n pepper. The client kept calling the phallus a cucumber… and Justine is adamant that it was a zucchini not a cucumber. And she warned against putting veggies in your ass… er stories.
Lila Sage said she was excited to receive her first email as a pro. However, the ask was for a chemical castration. She did not go through with it, and was shocked at the request. She said it was a great way to be welcomed into the industry.
I missed this panel at previous DomCons; I either didn’t realize what it was or had to catch a plane. In the future, though, I will seek out more Legends Panels!
I knew Mistress Precious from previous DomCons because she MC’s the Opening Ceremonies. On stage, she’s loud, larger than life, in control, and crass.
Sitting down to interview her, though, Mistress Precious was nothing but sophistication with glimpses of her inner devil. Her websitehas the same feel.
She’s has been on the DomCon Board for 21 years, since its inception, and she’s in charge of scheduling Industry Only classes. She began her career as a professional dominatrix in Texas in 1984, making 2024 her 40th year! Plus, she is a guest lecturer on human sexuality at a few colleges in Texas. In fact, Dr. Rebecca Stout’s Ph.D. thesis was about Mistress Precious.
After having spent some time on her website, I started the interview by saying, “I promise not to bore you, but there are some preliminary questions I need to get out of the way.”
Mistress Precious’ pretty blue eyes sparked as she said, “That’s my catch phrase! Say [Don’t bore me] to anyone, and they’ll say, Mistress Precious!”
When I told her I had used it intentionally, she smiled and nodded.
It is my privilege and honor to introduce you to the fabulously decorated [and definitely not fossilized], sexy as fuck Lady of Diabolical BDSM, Mistress Precious…
When did she first know she was kinky?
At age five! In kindergarten, she lined up all the little boys against the wall and had them pull their pants down. The teacher asked her, “Why did you do that?” And Mistress Precious’ answer was, “Because I can.”
Mistress Precious quickly added but a “real” time was when she was 16. She confessed to dating an older man–19. *grin* And they used to lay on a twin bed, and he would read MAD Magazine. She touched my arm and said, “You gotta remember, I’ve been doing this for 40 years.”
She said that as her boyfriend would read, she’d push his testicles up and down. Of course, she didn’t realize it was CBT at the time. She paused to grin, and added, “He probably doesn’t have children today.”
While she had the inkling, the control, and the moxie, Mistress Precious never thought she could make money being sadistic. Her first start was at foot fetish parties. She said, “I literally put on this ‘costume’ in 1984”, and now it’s 40 years later. She told me she was part of the first class to be inducted into the Dominatrix Hall of Fame in 2016.
Mistress Precious pointed to her bow and said it’s her signature piece. She always wears a bow because she likes the dichotomy of presenting as a prim and proper lady then providing a whollop of a BDSM encounter.
She shared with me the first time she played in public at a DomCon was a scene about taking down another dominatrix during a public class. She was dressed in a long leather dress with heels, with a bow in her hair. In walks this sophisticated and refined creature, who then approaches the other mistress and “beat the livin’ dick out of her”.
From the very first strike, Mistress Precious recalls them being fluidly bonded. Those who were adverse to blood had to leave the room. People’s reactions were, oh shit. It was vicious.
There was a master in the back of the room who approached her at the end with a wow, and said, “We never thought you had it in you.” He was impressed.
Mistress Precious winked at me and nodded once, saying, “Don’t judge someone by their outward appearance.” But don’t think for a second that the Diva Dominatrix was offended. Absolutely not. She loves to surprise people!
…which is probably why one of her mantras is “Don’t bore me.” When asked what bores her, Mistress Precious was quick to answer, “scripted scenarios”. She is too creative, adventurous, in the moment, and in control to trivialize her craft with rote sessions. [That’s my interpretation; not hers]
After 40 years, is she jaded? Not about her stint. She currently plays with 3,300 slaves. Her longest-running slave is one she’s had for 35 years. All are repeat clients. In fact, she still takes on newbs.
What does she enjoy about the new ones? “Breakin’ ‘em.” When she first starts out, she warns her clients, “I’m very addictive.” She tells them, “You’re gonna be my toy… and what do I do with my toys? I break you. Because I will put you back together the way I want you.”

With all of her experience, I commented that she must have stories to tell, and Mistress Precious admitted that she was trying to write her autobiography but had no idea where to start. I shared my thoughts about teaching a class on writing because many people tell me they don’t know how to write their story.
Mistress Precious interrupted me to ask whether I’d do the class as an Industry Only class. I admit, my first reaction was a splutter. Then she leaned in and stared her icy blues into my browns, and said more firmly, “Will you do it as an Industry Only class?” There’s no refusing Mistress Precious; she gets what she wants. *grin*
But Mistress Precious isn’t only about the taking. She’s been a guest lecturer on human sexuality, fetishes and sexual therapy at the Texas Sex Institute. She’s the only pro domme that has spoken, and she’s never been paid. In fact, she’s never even asked to be paid.
When she lectures, she dresses professionally–and not as a pro domme. She did it as a way of giving back to the community. It’s no surprise that there was a sign-up sheet three months in advance of her speaking.
What about the personal side of being a pro domme? Mistress Precious says she was single for her first 17 years as a pro. “You don’t date a pro domme,” she told me simply.
She shared many personal stories with me. Without going into depth, I will say that Mistress Precious is happily married to a former client, and she collared him before they got married.
Mistress Precious is not a dominatrix you’d want to cross, but there are other aspects to her besides her professional status. She’s intelligent, funny and wise. To those entering the profession, she cautions, don’t burn out. You can work yourself to death if you work six days a week, six hours a day… but think you can do more. If you do, she says, you will burn out.
Her parting words to first-timers is that she wants everyone to feel welcome. That’s why she does the Welcome Class for first-timers. It’s an icebreaker.
She adds that there are “a lotta little girls that have no clue what they’re doin’. If you want to learn and make a profession, you need to come here and learn the right way.”
Mistress Precious said that’s why she’s on the Board with Mistress Cyan; because “I want to impart the wisdom”.

Final Thoughts
There’s no way for me to convey everything that occurs at a DomCon. The more people I talk with, the more I realize that there’s a backstory to pretty much every story.
I attempt to give you a taste coupled with more insight than you’d normally get to experience; and hopefully, it encourages more newbies to attend in the future. And I love the feedback from you. I missed a “cute quip”… After going through my spiel about having over 50 books to a potential reader, she immediately said, “It’s too bad you don’t have a quiz that people could take, where you ask what we like to read about, and then have it suggest a book.” I smiled, thinking, if this were a reality TV show, it would totally have been scripted! Holding up a finger, I grabbed my quiz sign and presented it to her.
She picks up a paddle. It’s about 1ft x 3ft marked like a domino. A six and a four… this one’s a 10. The domino spots have holes so air can pass through. The handle looks like the grip of a baseball bat.
She puts the LED single tails back on the rack and moves to Joe, pressing her body against him from behind, enveloping him and talking to him. He has not cried out, but his head has dropped a little. I knew Mistress Precious from previous DomCons because she MC’s the Opening Ceremonies. On stage, she’s loud, larger than life, in control, and crass.
She shared with me the first time she played in public at a DomCon was a scene about taking down another dominatrix during a public class. She was dressed in a long leather dress with heels, with a bow in her hair. In walks this sophisticated and refined creature, who then approaches the other mistress and “beat the livin’ dick out of her”.
Mistress Precious interrupted me to ask whether I’d do the class as an Industry Only class. I admit, my first reaction was a splutter. Then she leaned in and stared her icy blues into my browns, and said more firmly, “Will you do it as an Industry Only class?” There’s no refusing Mistress Precious; she gets what she wants. *grin*
